2017/18 – A TWELVE WEEK BIRD COURSE

This course will consist of 10 indoor sessions, 2 hours each Friday evening from 7pm-9pm, and 2 outdoor day trips from approximately 10am-3pm held on a Saturday.
‘Introduction to British Birds’ will take you through all of Britain’s breeding and wintering bird species, looking at how to identify them by sight and sound, their distribution, populations, and status within the UK, along with tips on their identification in the field such as flight and behaviour.
Relaxed and informal sessions using photos, illustrations, videos and sounds, with handouts given throughout the course. Field outings will enable us to identify species in real-life and give us some first-hand experience of bird habits and identification.

– 26th January, 2nd, 9th, 23rd February, 2nd March 2018
