Hi, my name is Simon,

img_5056I have always been passionate by our natural world, being fascinated by the Collins Bird Guide when I was just 2.  I receiving my first pair of binoculars at the age of 6 and my interests have shaped my life to date.

I have lived in Kent all my life and have been working and volunteering in and around conservation and wildlife education for over 15 years now.  I am now fortunate to work in and around the county as a Woodland Officer, as an international wildlife holiday tour director & leader in the South-east and further afield, and as a guest speaker & lecturer.

At the age of 29 I is one of the youngest in the business but I have over 12 years of leading and guiding experience across the UK, along with countries such as France, Norway, Svalbard, Finland, Poland, Spain, Greece, Portugal, Madeira, Canary Islands, Hungary, and Sri Lanka.  I love meeting people and sharing with them the things that excite me about nature, especially my main area of expertise, which is bird behaviour.

I have decided to set up Bird Classes across the county to help enthuse people about birds, and to encourage a greater number of people to share birds and birdwatching.  I also teach in the field, where birding is best learnt, running day trips and tours around the South-east throughout the year.  I feel very fortunate that most of my guests and participants on all my events are repeat bookings.

If you’d like to join me then please get in touch.

With very best wishes, Simon

Just to say thank you and how much everyone enjoyed your talk including the sounds of birds and wildlife during it on ‘A Woodland Year’ last night at our AGM. We will be in touch in the new year to see what walks etc. we may be able to do.
